Mike was born and raised in Colchester, Ontario. He graduated from Heritage Bible College in 2001 and began married life with Michelle in 2002. Michelle was attending the University of Western Ontario and at the recommendation of his mentor, Mike pursued a job in the skilled trades. While Michelle worked part- time and attended university, Mike worked full-time as an apprentice electrician. During this busy time, Mike also ministered as a guest speaker in churches across southwestern Ontario and for two years took on the role of part time pastor at Gladstone Baptist Church.

Led by God to Stoney Creek Baptist Church, Mike served as a deacon, facilities co-chair, and lay teacher. Michelle was involved in sport ministry, the missions committee, and the children's ministry including Sunday school classes and nursery program. God spoke powerfully into their hearts while at Stoney Creek to pursue full- time ministry and for Mike to begin his Masters of Divinity studies. It was also during these years that Mike and Michelle were incredibly blessed with the arrival of two daughters, Olivia and Jillian.

God led Mike and Michelle to First Baptist Leamington during the summer of 2010 for an interim ministry. They count it a wonderful privilege to serve this church. Mike and Michelle pray that God would continue to use their family to bless and encourage the people of God through His Word.
